Our members come from all over the world and have a big range of professions. Most members are between 25-35 yrs old, but we believe that age is just a number. We love diversity and promote environments where you will get to meet people from different backgrounds and broaden your horizon.
All our apartments are unique, the sqm size is mentioned for each apartment on our website.
In our coliving apartments, bathrooms are generally shared with 1 or 2 other people, but this can vary from apartment to apartment. The amount of bathrooms in each apartment is mentioned on our website and can be found on the floor plan.

All our apartments and rooms are fully furnished, equipped and decorated to be completely ready for you to move in and immediately feel at home.
In our living rooms, you can expect a cosy lounge area with a TV to hang out together and watch films. The dining areas are set up to enjoy dinners and the kitchens are fully equipped with any type of equipment you need. We also try to provide as many standard accessories as possible, so you don't have to worry or bring anything when you move in. From kitchen appliances to utensils, cutlery, vases, mixers, toast machines, plates, pans, cups, hairdryers, steam irons, and more.
The private rooms come fully furnished and decorated as well. There will always be a comfortable bed including a duvet and pillows and plenty of storage space for your personal belongings. Almost all of our rooms have a desk with a desk chair (if the room did not fit a desk, this will be mentioned on our website). Furthermore, we make sure that the room is ready to move in by decorating it with lighting, rugs and art.
We would love to show you our homes, but we also want to provide privacy to our current members. That's why don't offer viewings. Instead, we provide detailed pictures of our apartments and rooms, as well as 3D floor plans on our website, so you can get a good idea of what the apartment is like. If you have any specific questions or if anything is not clear, we would be happy to answer your question via email or on a call.

The main purpose of the LifeX community is to make it possible for people—regardless of background—to feel comfortable and at home with their housemates, and have the opportunity to build long-lasting, authentic relationships.
To allow members the opportunity to get to know their housemates and expand their networks, LifeX sponsors activities. One way this is done is by way of the LifeX-sponsored welcome dinner: each time a new member moves in, LifeX sponsors a dinner for all housemates to get to know one another. We then hope to see our members come together and join the various other events hosted throughout the year by either LifeX or other members!
As a LifeX member, you will also get exclusive access to our online community via the member app. In the app, you have the possibility to join or start an interest group and get in contact with other members in your own city and across all other cities in which LifeX is present.
The LifeX member app offers various features that enable the community to engage with each other, as well as the LifeX team.
Among other things, the LifeX app offers you the ability to find/comment/like and create events hosted by LifeX and other members. It also offers the ability to talk to your housemates in your house group. Most importantly, the LifeX app facilitates communication between members and the LifeX team - be it updates from our operations team, or reaching out to us via the chat to suggest any feedback you may have for us.
Unfortunately, our apartments are currently not suitable for families with kids.
We LOVE pets, but unfortunately, we don't have any animal-friendly apartments available at the moment.
You are welcome to invite friends over for lunch, dinner, etc. as long as your housemates are okay with it. Just give others a heads-up and be mindful of the noise. You can always take the fun to a general area with closed doors or take it to the bar.
Our apartments are your home, so you can definitely have guests come over as long as everyone in the home is fine with it and you follow our guest policy.
Yes, you have the possibility to move to another apartment and you will always get the first pick on any available room or apartment. The flexibility of living is one of the things we strive for here at LifeX. Please be aware that some local regulations and policies might apply. Just ask our team about this if you want to know more.
Definitely! One cool feature within LifeX is the ability to swap rooms with members in other cities for a small holiday. Contract & pricing
The monthly price depends on the city, the apartment, and the room. You can see all our available rooms including the prices on our website.
Our prices are all-inclusive so you only need to pay one fixed amount each month for housing and don't need to worry about anything else. The price includes the rent, utilities, wireless internet, maintenance, services and housing taxes.
The frequency of our cleaning service depends on the city and the service level (Regular or Service Plus). You can find the service type and the frequency on the apartment page on our website under the tab 'What's included'.
Our deposits vary from city to city and are a fixed amount of around 1 - 1,5 months' rent. If the room is in the same state as when you moved in, the deposit will be fully after your contract has ended. The processing time for the deposit release varies: it may take up to 30 days for Denmark, Germany, and France, while members in London can expect a turnaround of 10 days.
No, we don't charge any move-in fees. To book a room, you only pay the rent and a deposit.
Yes, you can register and use LifeX as your permanent address (in Copenhagen this qualifies for your CPR registration and in Germany for your 'Anmeldung').

Booking & moving in
Simply sign up on our website. After you signed up, you will be able to book a time for a short call in our calendar.
Are you still in the exploring phase and don't want to book a room right away? No worries! On the call, our team can set you up in our system so that when you are ready to make your move, all you need to do is check our availability online and get in touch with us to book the room. Our team can also help you to decide which room or apartment would fit you the best.
Please be aware that for coliving apartments a call is mandatory. The call is meant to make sure you have all the information you need and discuss the options based on your preferences. After the call, we can book a room for you right away or add you to our waiting list, allowing you to reach out and book a room easily later.
In most cities, you can move in on any day of the week as we are using a key-sharing service, which will enable you to pick up your key with a personal code.
For the other cities, we have different solutions at our disposal. Just let our team know what day you would prefer to move in, and we will try to facilitate that.
The move-in time is after 3 PM in all of our cities. This allows us to make sure your room will be ready for you until your move-in. If your planned arrival time is before 3 PM, then you can easily reach out to our team in our app and check if you can move in earlier.
